Feels very operatic to me--- the last movement always makes me think of Gilbert and Sullivan.

Lovely playing. Great ensemble playing. I love Mendelssohn’s clarinet writing which bring off so beautifully! I was reminded of having an LP many years ago when the great Jack Brymer multitracked both Basset horn and clarinet, however the late Dame Thea King did that as well plus the piano part as she was a remarkable pianist too.
